My girlfriend recently bought a house with one remote controlled Harbor Breeze fan. She said prior to moving in the remote was working perfectly. The remote does not work any function now. What should I check. The battery in the remote is new, and the indicator light responds when buttons are depressed. I do not see where the sensor is on the fan itself and I cannot find any dip switches on the fan to confirm that they match the settings on the remote. any suggestions on where to start?

Confirm the fan is getting power in the first place.
