about a year ago I died my hair black and now I want to dye it chocolate cherry but it won't take, is there anything I can use to remove the color without having to use bleach? I heard of a Loreal Color Zap, does that work? will it damage my hair as much as going to the salon and having them bleach it all out?

You can’t brighten you hair by using another color on top. The color black on hair is the hardest to get out. If you don’t want to damage you hair with bleach, you could only bleach many thin high lights so it doesn’t look so dark, and slowly change the color with the one you want.
