I am doing hardwood floor right now. After I lifted the old carpet, I found a big stain near the baseboard. Currently, heat is not on. There isn't any water leaking from baseboard.
But where is this water from? I know roof was leaking in this area. but it is fixed.
Anyboard know how baseboard leaks? Is there water in baseboard when heat is not on?

Yes, there probably is still water in the baseboard, unless you drained the system (I don't think this would be recommended)
Is the stain wet? Near a window that may have leaked during heavy rains?
