I cosigned for my stepdaughter on a mortgage. Unfortunately, she is going through bad times being hooked on crack and has not paid her mortgage in a year. I have paid this while trying to get her help. She has now abandened the house and has not lived there for 3 months. She appears to be living with someone else in a different city. As cosigner, what are my rights and what do I do? The house is in Michigan.

As a co-signer, you have the right to keep paying the mortgage, and try and get the buyer ( your daughter) to sell the home.
