I have had my belly piercing for 4 years. I love it and have never had problems with it.

Recently I've been gaining weight in my tummy. The bottom hole of my piercing has recently been bothering me. The hole looks like it is stretching and the skin ripping above it a little. Every once in a while I feel a pinching, uncomfortable feeling.

I really love my piercing and I don't want to take it out. This has encouraged me to start eating healtheir and losing weight. Until I tone my belly up, are there any remedies that I can try to heal my belly hole? I don't want it to become infected or get any worse. Does anyone have any thoughts?

My best and most honest advice would be to take it out until you get back down to where you want to be, and get it re-done. And it would be best to take it out before it tears too much, so you prevent significant scarring.

Tearing and irritation like this can easily lead to infection, and infection is uncomfortable and a big pain in the butt.

I know you love your piercing, but you should love your body more. My advice is to take it out and get it re-done when you are back where you want to be.
