I turned n my ac the fan works but compressor will not start

is the fan on the condenser working? if so it could be a number of things. compressor overheated to due beinbg low on freon, burnt terminal on compressor, compressor locked up and needs hard start kit. bad capacitor

ya the fan works. I will check about burnt terminal etc . It worked well all summer . I shut it down for a couple of weeks. Now it will not start. Where do i find a hard start kit?
