I would go to a fertility doctor and have a full work up. Getting checked can help pin point the reason for miscarriages and alleviate the worry, because you'll have an answer. We've been trying to get pregnant for 18 months an nothing seems to be working. I'll be going to the specialist soon to see if I have secondary infertility. It's better to know, than not to. Worrying isn't productive. Always be positive!
Cheers!

99% of the time the doctor cannot make an accurate diagnosis as to why we miscarry. Usually it is due to anomalies of the fetus that make it unable to carry to term. Many defects can be involved.

Now, you mention you had a low platelet count. Our platelets are our clotting factors. That is what starts the scabbing process in a cut, if you will.

That most likely was not the reason for the miscarriage, but more likely that the fetus was just not viable.

You were very lucky to have gotten pregnant the 1st time you tried. Only about 10 - 12% of the entire population get pregnant their first try.
