Hi, I am thinking about taking a job in NYC..I live in NJ. If my gross pay is 2884.00 per 2 weeks and my gross pay is about 1900.00 dollars..approxiametly how much more would i need to consider that NY will deduct from my paycheck? Just tring to calculate what my biweekely check will come to...and see if it is compatible to montly living expenses..Tahnsk for any info...Denise

Depends on how many exemptions you take. Also your question is on clear, you mention your gross is $2884 and then $1900. Are you saying that your current net is $1900?

The computations for determining what is withheld in NY state taxes is driven by withholding charts which should be available on the state government website.
