Why does dieting effect your period?

I'm currently on a diet just to lose 10 pounds, does that mean my period will not come/be late?

Can this be avoided?

Personally for me, periods delay a day or two and I am 26 and have given birth too.

For me, its normalyl a week of being delayed.

If it already delays that much, you should consult a Doc before dieting just to be safe.

Yea.I think thats what im gonna do. . im gonna continue with my diet and if i see naything getting weird im goign to my doctor.
