I would like to know what the average hourly salary might be for a CNA in Virginia.

This is by no means official, but I believe the wages run between $7.00 and $10.00 per hour. I have two friends/co-workers that are CNAs and that amount is based on their wages.

The VEC (Virginia Employment Commission) could probably give you more precise information.

***Update***

Found this on the VEC website
Virginia VELMA - Occupational Wages by S.O.C. (http://velma.virtuallmi.com/analyzer/drloesw.asp?session=OESWAGE&cat=INC&subsession=3&geo=5101000000&areaname=Virginia+Statewide+++++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++++++++++++++&tableused=OESWAGE&defaultcode=&rollgeo=&time=20060305&currsubsessavail=&sgltime=1)

Put in nursing assistant. It won't take CNA and there is a large table of entry level, average and experienced wages available.
