We had a home build 5 years ago on the coast of NC. We have never dealt with heat pumps before. Recently our heat pump (now on AC) has been making a whirling noise. It never did that before there was some noise but not like this The repairman says they some times make noise. But it does not sound right to us. Any suggestions or input
I have called Amanda but they will not talk to us as consumers
Thanks
Ronnie

Where? Outside unit. If it's the outside unit, there probably is a problem with the fan. There could also be issues that the outside unit needs to be cleaned.

It is an outside unit.

The outside unit likely needs to be cleaned and the fan checked for excessive friction.
