I received a eviction notice today.Do I have to be in court the day that is stated on the notice or can I just move out forget about it?

Hello nomad:

You can forget about it, but I wouldn't. Your landlord could lie to the judge and say you were, say, 8 months behind in your rent. If you're not there to say that's not true, your landlord will win a judgment for 8 months rent. With a judgment, they'll be able to garnish your wages and attach your bank accounts.

Thanks for the info.My landlord won't be able to get anything from me because I don't have a job or a bank account.
