Hi everyone!
I wanted to know about spotting....I've never had to deal with it before but all of a sudden, i'm dealing with it now!
A little background info: I'm a 26 year old female, engaged (married this fall), no former pregnancies, no other problems. I'm unfortunately not on birth control...I got off about 4 months ago (due to some sickness) and have had several normal on-time periods since getting off the pill.
Here it is, 2 days before my period and I'm spotting! It's pink and mucus-y (sorry, TMI)...it's not coming out on my underwear, just when i wipe. Also, I'm cramping whenever I sit down but not when I'm walking around.
Even though, i'm not on birth control, I do NOT think I'm pregnant... (maybe foolish i know but we have been off the pill for 4 months unprotected and nothing). Can anyone tell me if this is just a normal process or should I go see the doctor?
I completely appreciate every piece of advice. Thanks! :)

Honestly! You might be pregnant. When I was pregnant I spotted but no period came. I think you should go to the doctor. It's better safe then sorry. Good luck!

It honestly just sounds like you are getting ready to start your period to me. You are only 2 days away, it could come just a tad early. You also said you were cramping, and that is a normal part of having a period. Just take some Advil and that will clear right up.

If this turns into anything that you are truly worried about, such as the cramping getting so bad its affecting your daily life, then you should see a doctor.

Has the sickness cleared up? I mean the one that forced you to go off of birth control? If it is all clear, I would suggest getting back on birth control if you are not ready to have a baby.

Good luck and keep us updated. :)

i JUST got done dealing with this...(i wondered too...youre braver than me...i didnt have the gaul to call it spotting) i spotted for a bout a day and a half....then it stopped and then the next morning i started...so try relaxing....i think the more you stress out...the more likely you are to 'mess' up your period....idk thats what everyone kept telling me...i think their right though....
