my airconditioner was working fine last night,today it wont even turn on,i checked the breaker box still nothing,,can someone help answer

I had the same issue with mine a few weeks back and I found the answer here by using the search option.

You may have a blown fuse, there is normally a disconnect near the a/c mounted on the wall with fuses in it. Check these fuses, if you think you have power to the a/c then remove the panel on the a/c with an insulated object push in on the contactor and see if it runs, if not look at the capacitor , is it ballooned or are there any burnt wires?Does the furnace fan work?
