I am trying to replace my Honeywell T87F with a digital RTH230b. The connections from the old thermostat are as follows:
G-Green
Y-Yellow which is then connected to W
B-Blue
R-Red
O-White

The RTH230B says to connect:
Rh
Rc
W
Y
G

We have tried every combination.... We can get the fan to work but it just keeps blowing hot air. It is for a joint heating and cooling system. It also says that the red jumper wire from Rc to Rh should be removed in 5 wire installations. We are not sure if we are suppose to use all five wires or if we should have one of the wires tied off. We live in the desert so it is very very hot. Please help!!! Thank you!

You have the wrong thermostat, you need a heat pump thermostat.
