Everyone is different. It could be tomorrow, it could be a year from now. ;)

An average, healthy couple averages 3 months to a year to concieve. Once the year mark hits, its probably time for both partners to see a doctor for a check up.

Good luck and HAVE FUN!

On average the pill takes 3-6 months to fully wear out of your system. :)

It takes couples who are actively trying to become pregnant up to a year of trying prior to conception. Since you were on the pill, I don't know how long you were on it, it could take you up to 18 months since it takes the pill a few months to be completely out of your system depending on length of time on the pill and the particular pill you were on.

We only have a 25% chance of becoming pregnant every month. Here is an exerpt taken from Maternal Child Nursing Care Third Edition, page 151.....

"Although sperm remain viable in the female's reproductive tract for 48 hours or more, probably only a few retain fertilization potential for more than 24 hours. Ova (the egg) remain viable for about 24 hours, but the optimum time for fertilization may be no more than 1 to 2 hours (Cunningham et al 2001)."

After reading that it is almost a miracle we ever get pregnant. Good luck to you, and remember that the stress of trying can lessen your chances.
