im finding that my central air turns off before it hits the desired temp set. the fan will continue to run on auto but the a/c unit turns off and then turns back on after 10-15min.

It may be kicking off on a low pressure switch (low on freon or iceing up) or it may be going off on an overload (dirty condenser)
