The other day I was browsing through an exotic pet store and a man came in with the coolest pet I've ever seen in my life. It looked like a large, thin ferret with smooth fur that had almost a leopard pattern to it, the man at the counter fed it some baby mice, then it ran around on peoples shoulders sniffing their hair. He said it was a member of the mongoose family, does anyone know what this animal is ?

Does anyone know a breeder (or happen to be one) so that I could find out what a good price on these is ? I would be looking for a baby, since I read that you have to spend time with them early on to bond.
