should i trim my hair while it is wet or when it is dry

You can do it either way, but keep in mind when you trim it wet it will shrink a little when it dries. Like for example, say if you cut it shoulder length while its wet, once it dries it will be a little above your shoulders. :)

You should trim your hair when it's wet. Wet hair is much easier to cut than dry hair.
