i know that you can get pregnant while on you period,but is it normal for your period to stop for a while and start up again

If you stop bleeding for a day or so in the middle of your period and then it re-starts, it is normal. Nothing to worry about. There's nothing wrong with you as far as illnesses. As for being pregnant, the best way to determine that is through a pregnancy test :)
