You probably don't need a license in order to clean for a living. But, that does depend on the laws where you live.

It sounds like you are just starting out in your business. If you are, then I am sure that you will find information contained in links on the following link to be helpful to you concerning starting a business and what you need to do in that regard concerning many aspects of it. Included on these links will be questions that have been answered about obtaining a license to clean. Agree that a business license is probably NOT needed if you run the business from your home. If you work out of a storefront, however, you WILL need a business license.
