My central A/C is blowing but no cold air is coming out.
Does it run through the furnace...and could it be a pilot light?
I am so A/C ~ Heating challenged!
Also....how do I find a reasonable repair man without getting ripped off?

Thanks!

Go check the outdoor unit and see if it is running while a call for cooling. If not do you have power to that unit. Have any of the breakers tripped? Post back with results.

I had a similar issue to this recently. Feon had leaked from the system and then the "A-Coil" (which i think is located on top of your furnace) had frozen up so air was not blowing out of my vents. Once the a/c unit stopped for a while the a-coil was able to thaw and work a little the next morning. I had to replace my a-coil and thats not cheap. I hope yours is a simpler fix.
