hello help desk

i have recently changed my colour with a semi-permanent dye when i first did it it came out a really dark brown almost black i have managed to lighten the colour to a nice brown.

However this colour doesn't have any highlights, i was wondering if i could put a temporary mahogany or chocolate brown colour, to create some subtle highlights in my dark coloured hair.

Would this work on my already dark hair? Would it make my hair too dark? or not even show up?

thanks pinkgirl 99 :)

Temporary colors are deposit-only colors with no lightening effect. Deposit-only Hair colors will darken hair color when applied to hair. You can do highlights with a permanent hair color containing a higher volume peroxide developer, but the results may be unpredictable. If you want decent highlights, go to a salon and have them do your highlights.
