I've had my carrier a/c heat unit for about 10 years . . . good service, but it has recently been making a sqeaking/chirping/screeching sound when the fan is running in a/c mode. I reminds me of the sound a car makes when the fan belt is slipping. Any suggestions?
Thanks,

Which fan are you talking about, indoor or outdoor?

Sorry for the sketchy info. It sounds like the inside fan and it only occurs once in a blue moon . . . very sporadic and not long in duration.

Thanks for the help.

You could try to lubricate the blower if it has oil holes if not you may try to drip some oil around the area where the shaft goes into the motor.
