Hi!

OK my question is there are 6 wires coming out of my unit and the thermastat does not have any specifications for the brown and orange what do these do? for the unit the green for fan white for heat and the red hot and the yellow for A/C what are the brown and orange

You probably have the wrong thermostat. Do you have a heat pump or electgric heat? if you do you have the wrong thermostat.
