where do I record the employer's contribution to payroll(fica,medicare) I have a general journal and specialized journals(cash payment,cash receipt,sales)? in the general ledger how do I record this also? I have payroll taxes and fica,medicare,not sure which ledger account to use. I would also like to know what the difference is between salaries payable and salaries expense in the general ledgers? thanks
