:eek: Stratmando: Please be a bit more specific I am a chick who does not know much about this stuff...I know about the breakers, but where will I find disconnects? and where is the 24 volt thingy?

Since you were fixing it. I figured you were a chick.
Turn off disconnect.
Inside the Air Handler there is a 240 to 24 volt transformer, that feeds power to thermostat.
Look for fuse on, or on wire from transformer.

If you are unaware of how to check unit you would be best off calling in a tech. You could cause more damage or hurt yourself. Electricity does bite.
