Men in thongs are fine. Some where around 20% of mens underwear sales are now thongs. So there are a bunch of men wearing them. For the most part they don't go round flashing them so you just don't know it.

You may want to check out the 'Thong Wearers Message Board' where the subject is handled in depth. Wear what you want. Your girlfriend will find thongs sexy if you wear them with confidence. It's probably not the thong she finds sexy. it's probably the confidence you display.

I think it is a part cultural, part personal thing. The only time I have seen men in thongs is on comedy programs and the man was usually in his fifties!
