Here's a little hint.. TALK to HIM!! ask him what he likes.. and tell him you're new at it.. he will like to here it!

Exactly....just ask him what he would like you to do. There are different ways to do everything and there may be some things he really likes...and some things that may "ruin the moment" for him. Just have him to tell you (specifically) what he wants you to try and discover how to do it together.
