How can I tell my parents this?
How can I tell my parents?
I was in class and I fell asleep and I had this really sexual dream. So when I woke up people were laughing.I was like whatever, so I walked to my next class. Then just before the bell rang I went to the bathrooom to go pee. Then when I came to school the next day people were saying I was thinking about porn then I went to the bathroom to "wipe my self." They said I was a disgrace.I was so embarrassed that when my parents asked me about it I just said I sucking something and everyone thought something else. Now I'm really embarrassed because now my friends know that's a lie and think I really did go to the bathroom to do that. But I didn't I just went to peee! What should I do?
Do you think I should switch schools or be punished some kind of way? I'm almost an adult and shouldn't be acting like this.

Don't worry about it they will find some one else to tease later, you know the truth that's all that matters. I think it is very normal for any body to have sexual dreams its what we all do nothing shameful about it just life don't worry about this there is far worse things to worry about.

    Hope this helps

Its normal for those kinds of things to happen. I guarantee you are not the only one it has ever happened to. Sexual feeling are so intense, its no wonder it happens. It's a natural part of life. Don't switch schools, like you said your almost an adult, If other people think weird things about you or what happened, its only because they are childish. Don't fret, It will pass.

First no reason to even tell your parents if you don't want to. And being ashamed is really silly, I would wonder what age you really are, since "almost" adults don't make fun of their friends like this, Since they know enough about sex to know how things happen.

So you igore people and just be yourself

If the dream was sexual, let's assume you were enjoying the dream, OK? The fact that you had that dream in a public setting is a bell that can't be unrung. You've given people something to chuckle about. Also true.

Now, the question needs to be asked... so what? And also... for how long?

I know you're embarrassed. Understandable, normal too. But LIVING that embarrassment out loud adds length and fuel to the power of the snide remarks.

So, in the real world, you need to practice NOT adding fuel to the fire. How do you stop a debate?. by not presenting an opposing side. It's hard to debate with someone who won't argue back. And it's hard to pick on someone who neither backs down embarrassed by your comments, nor denies them. Think about that for a minute.

This DID happen. The only REAL embarrassing thing NOW is your uncontrolled reaction to what is being said. That's all you have to work out now. You can do that, can't you?
    • If someone you don't know/like makes an out loud comment to you about it, smile and wave back with a nod, but don't say anything. Don't get angry, don't defend, just look them in the eye and acknowledge they exist and wave nicely. If you can turn to someone nearby and say something completely unrelated an unnervous, too, that would drive home the point you aren't worried about what he said.
    • If someone you know/like says something, chuckle WITH them. "Yeah, I have some pretty vivid dreams...hehe, you shoulda seen that one...(grin)". And again, no embarrassment. Some playful blushing, but you draw people INTO the topic, not push them away.

In summary, take away the reward people get for picking on you. Own it with your friends, find a way to laugh about it with them, and non-friends just a tip of your hat and no negative from you at all. Do this, practice, repeat. They'll find something/someone else to pick on soon enough.

    Count on it.
