How long till the pill stops working?

If a girl uses the pill and then suddenly stops, how long till she can get pregnant?
Or should I ask, how long till the pill has been worked out of her system?

Thanks.

That really varies from person to person. I can tell you I got pregnant twice while taking the pill religiously at the exact same time every day.

So, the pill is not 100% effective, only abstinence is.

Typically, though, women are told that it takes about 3 months to be completely out of a woman's system and she is making these hormones on her own again.

**Consult your physician**.

Birth control was **virtually 100% effective** when it came out in the 1960's, but today, there are different strengths, as I understand it, and different protocols..........we had no worries in the olden days!!!!
