Every woman is different. But, basically, we all want to be heard and understood. Develop friendship first. Talk, listen and be there. Everyone likes to be admired, if the admiration is sincere. "Awesome bracelet!" "You have the best smile!" It's really hard to have a conversation in a noisy bar. Meet women where you don't have to shout to be heard.

If you think the relationship is starting to have sexual overtones? Ask her if she thinks it is too, but keep it light, and friendly. Touch her lightly, the hand or arm is a good place to start. Just remember that even though women are all different, studies show that female skin is 90% more sensitive than male skin.

Most importantly, quit worrying! Be patient, it will happen. Don't be frightened of "the friendship zone" because, well, marriage is life with a friend you have sex with.

Say HI and start a conversation. Smile and make eye contact. If she smiles, ask her out to coffee.

Does a relationship develop?

Saying hi isn't too tough. Talking...having a conversation is a different matter. Where you can, try to let her do the talking. Ask her questions about herself...school, hobbies, books, movies, family...but don't get personal. Keep it general at first.

People like to talk about themselves, especially when they are comfortable.
