It affects your psychological heath more than physical health. If it worries you it is not psychologically heathy.

Being celibate is healthy, if that is what you choose. Going for a year without sexual intercourse is not unhealthy at all. But if it bothers you that much, then it is affecting your mental health more than your physical health.

I will agree with shygrneyzs, having sex today is really a greater risk, and having sex can cause all sorts of emotional ties and relationships one may not be ready for.

So since it is best and many don't have sex till they are married or at least in long term relationshop, most people go at least 17 and 18 years without having sex just to start thier life.

And after the death of a spouse many people don't have sex, they may go 20 years or more without.

And many people decide to be celibate all of thier life.

If you are adicted to sex, and can not live without it, that may be an issue in your life.
