    Losing your virginity
    How do I lose my virginity? I have been tyring for awhile and it is so painful. I am 22, what should I do? Is it me?

    You may have vaginismus-a "clamping" effect whereby your muscles within your vagina are tightening-possibly due to feeling stressed.

    RELAX.

    Usually intercourse is not that difficult the first time.

    It may be that your hymen is completely blocking your entrance-but this is highly unlikely, I'd say you are more stressed, about the situation (trying too hard to lose your virginity-break your hymen), and therefore you are tightening up too much.

    It is possible that your hymen is thicker than average, which could make it painful. See your gynecologist and have it removed. It's a simple procedure.

    If you are experiencing some amount of vaginismus, your Dr. can help with that as well, if needed.
