feel neglected

Asked Nov 21, 2011, 03:19 PM — 2 Answers
I've been with my boyfriend for 3 1/2 years at first sex life was brilliant then took a downturn spiral - and decided he wanted to be celibate - no thought of me - i can count on one hand the times we have had sex in 3 years and at the moment its been over 10 months since he been near me - i don't go near him had too many rejections we sleep separately now and I'm fed up -feel like I'm 30 years older than i am -i had op earlier this year which i have a scar now so i feel more of a freak now than before - although he says hes not interested in sex he prefers to relieve himself why do i feel so replusive?

"He prefers to relieve himself"? If true, I think that's quite selfish of him. What are his reasons for suddenly deciding to be celibate?

You really need to talk to him. Sit him down and tell him fully how his decision is making you feel. Ask him how HE feels.

I do agree that your boyfriend is being very selfish. This was something he should have decided BEFORE he got into a relationship with you, and let YOU decide if this is something you can handle or not. Being celibate is not your decision. I would have a good sit down, get to the bottom of things, and then YOU have to sit down and really think if this is the type of relationship you want to be in or not. There is no sense in you being miserable because of his personal choice. And it's just that. Kudos to him for making that decision, but it should have been something you both discussed as a couple, not something that was just sprung on you last minute. Ultimately, it's his body his decision, but you don't have to live with it. You either accept his choice, or move on now. As hard as that will be, this one is YOUR decision.

Good luck.
