chances for pregnancy

What are the chances of pregnancy if my boyfriend and I have sex with a condom, he pulls out before ejaculation, and it's not during my fertile window?

(someone please answer me, I want to have sex so bad but I've always been so scared & I'm not sure if I want birth control yet)

There's still a chance you could get pregnant.

I got pregnant using THREE forms of birth control.

If you're not ready to be a parent, my advice is to NOT have sexual intercourse.

PS...if you're going to have sex, get your butt on birth control. Period.

I had sex under that scenario many times in the olden days.....I never got pregnant. However, I did get pregnant when my husband and I had sex out of my fertile period and I later had a miscarriage. It is a matter of the odds, primarily.

When the birth control pill was put on the market for the first time, it was a strong pill, and it was virtually 100% effective. Not I or one single woman I knew ever got pregnant on the pill.

Check the insert that comes along with your birth control pills....the facts from trials will show the percentage of pregnancies that resulted from taking the pill according to directions. If you mess around with taking the pill, you're asking for problems.

If you aren't ready to be a parent, then don't have intercourse...I agree with synnen on that one.

If you aren't ready for the pill, and you don't want to be a mommy yet, there are other, "safer" things you can do that won't get you pregnant (I mean safer from a "not getting pregnant" standpoint....any sexual activity can still put you at risk for STD's.)

Have you had sex (penetration) before? I am kind of getting the impression that you haven't due to being scared. Being scared is good because maybe you won't find yourself in an unwanted situation.

My husband and I have been using condoms for 13 years. We have two children who were totally planned. Right now, we don't want other children. The difference is, if I got pregnant from using a condom tomorrow, we wouldn't be devastated...it wouldn't ruin our life. We would be shocked, but after the shock wore off, we'd be thrilled! We've been married for almost 12 years, and we have a lifetime committment. My stuation is way different than yours because this man is simply your boyfriend and you are scared to get pregnant. I feel comfortable having sex with my husband at this point in my life using just a condom. If having another child were totally out of the question, then I'd look for much more reliable birth control methods, and we would probably enjoy other intimate activities while we were finding those other options.

Good luck to you...the fact that you are asking shows that you are at leasting using your head. Now, we'll see where you go from here.
