Talk to him about it. My husband and I had this problem. If am man can attain an erection normally, a doctor will not prescribe one of the "miracle" drugs. These drugs are for erectile disfunction.
There are lots of ways to help him out. There are condoms with desensitizing creams, you can just practice on him so he can learn control,,,,etc. You guys sound like everything is right,,,,you just need a little "tune up" to bring things up to par!!! Good Luck
