My name is Edna and I’d like to help my boyfriend find his biological mother. Hopefully someone may have some information on his family. Anything would be greatly appreciated.
This is what we know: He was born in 1966 at Homer Folks Hospital in Oneonta, New York. His mother’s name is Pearl Black and is probably in her 60’s now. She is of African American descent and his father is caucasian though we do not have any information on him. Pearl Black was in the hospital being treated for tuberculosis throughout the pregnancy and after his birth. My boyfriend, Troy, was placed in foster care until she could leave the hospital. She tried to make some contact with the agency but failed to get him back. He was then adopted by this foster family in Monticello, New York. There were 7 children born to his biological mother prior to his birth, one which died before he was born.
We are in the process of adquiring more information from the state.
