| Unfortunately, you may not be able to do much until your child is 18, and even then your options are limited.
You could, of course, hire a private detective, but that could get pricy.
Your best bet is to wait until your child is 18, and then post on sites like adoption.com where people can post that they are searching, and the information they have.
You could also go through the adoption agency that you used. They may or may not release records to you, but they CAN hold the information that you are looking for contact and if your child is also looking for contact, they can then be the intermediary.
I highly suggest that if you do find your child on your own, you use an intermediary such as your pastor or a representative from social services for the contact. Reunions do not usually go the way you think they will, so it's good to have someone there who can be a buffer, so to speak.
