husband adopting my child

my fiancee wants to adopt my daughter, she has no father listed on her birth certificate and he has had no interest since I was pregnant. How do we go about doing this, we live in Massachsusetts,if that affects any of the laws on it?

1. get married.
2. get a lawyer
3. get the biological father to sign off on his rights. If locating him isn't possible, you still need to make a valid attempt at it.
4. file the paperwork
5. Go to court.
