The father of my 8year old son wants to sign off his parental rights, how do I do this?

please note this is not a blog, you need to ask a new question, not put your question as a answer to someone elses question, I have moved it to its own post.

If you have a new partner and they want to adopt the child ( you did post this in the adoption area so I will have to assume it is about adoption)
But the attorney doing the paper work will do the paper work for him to sign the paper work for the new partner to adopt.

If there is no new partner and there is no adoptoin planned, many areas will not just let a person give up thier rights, also signing over the rights when possible expect for adoption they will still have to pay child support, which is normally why they want to sign over rights to stop paying
