Adoption

i was woundering? i just got married., and my husband would like to adopit my son. his real dad.. is not in the pic and does not do anything to help sopport him or anything. my husband has been his dad since the day he was born. he is all he knows as dad. i would like for my husband name to be put on the birh cir. and his last name put on him. is that possable?

Fr_Chuck Christianity Expert Join Date: Nov 2005 Location: Atlanta GA Posts: 24,562	You will have to file for adoption in court. The real father will need to sign over all his rights and not object to the adoption. ( works alot easier if he will agree)
