    When Filing in Alphabetical Order Where Do You File Mc?
    What order would one file the following three names?:
    Harper, m a

    Harper, mary

    Harper, louis

    As for Mc or Mac, what are your filing rules? Public libraries go by strict alphabetizing, so Mac would come before Mc. They used to be treated the same.

    What do you do with Eric von Lustbader? Is he a v or an L?

    What about Moosa ben Abou? A b or an A?
