Filing alphabetical order, john doe dba Doe's Equipment
When filing a customer with a dba, should you file by first name of owner, or first name of company? For example: John Doe dba John's Equipment Co.

Depends on the purpose of the files - list of business names? If so, it's John's Equipment Co.

Owners or general filing? Doe, John, d/b/a xxx.
