Many jobs will hire those with previous convictions, especially in the fast food or service industry. However, most employers have you take a drug test before employment and if it is positive you are not hired. Also they now take random drug tests and at any time you could be called up by the computer for a drug test.

There are moments in each of our lives we wish we could go back and have a chance at correcting our mistakes. Unfortunately, we can only learn from our errors and begin to make positive life - style changes. It may be discouraging at first but keep submitting applications. There are numerous jobs advertised in your area of concern.

That ain't the right question. The right question is, I KNOW there are jobs I can get, but I don't know how.

You ask THAT question because you KNOW there are jobs you'd be great at, if you could just talk to the boss instead of filling out an application. You don't look so good on paper. So, since you KNOW that you're going to have to TALK to the guy, where people WITHOUT felony's can maybe get a job just filling out an application, you're going to have to apply to places small enough where you CAN talk to the boss. Those are usually mom and pop kinds of operations.
