My hubby is edicted by drugs.he s taking tossex as well as high dose of sleeping pills bt he s not sleeping anymore.He s disturbing a lot.how to stop it?

Tussin based cough syrup and mixed effects of sleeping pills, bad combination.

I have been on certain sleep aids and medications which had similar results in the end,I didn't sleep.Too much and too long on a 'good thing' lead me to not sleep at all.

Typically,many who use too many of anything end up with adverse effects,this can range from Barbiturate's to narcotics,amphetamines and sleep aids.etc..

Prevention, a slow taper off the use of them,perhaps a professional diagnosis is called for to not go too low dosage and withdraws too intense.Non-the-less,a limit on how much of each one(cough syrup/sleeping pills)will allow the body to slowly regulate to the lesser dosage with the withdraws being less severe,not that there won't be withdraws,there will,to some degree,but they can be made to be tolerable.

Meaning he is upset a lot,he is moody and disruptive to the family?This is typical addict behavior.Once the actual chemicals are removed,the moods may lessen,but the addictive personality will still be present.That can be dealt with later.Right now,the slow removal of the problem(much less the reason he STARTED taking this combination) have to be dealt with.
