    How long after you quit drinking alcohol does the side effect of severe bruising stop?

    Probably about 30 days if caused by increased red blood cell size (most likely). An additional or contributing cause is vitamin deficiency (due to excessive drinking) so a healthful diet and/or vitamin supplement can sometimes help.
