I have been on prescribed pain medication for 6 months. How long will it take to get out of my system if I have been on prescribed lortab 7.5's for 6 months now or longer? Am I chemically addidcted to them by now? I take anywhere from 2 to 3 on a regular daily basis?

I doubt you are addicted to them if you were only taking 2-3 day. Especially if you were taking them for pain. You might have kind of a hard time sleeping for a few days, and may have some stomach cramping and slight muscle weakness for a few days. Hydrocodone is pretty minor though. You may not have any symptoms.

I disagree with the post that says hydrocodone is minor. I was detoxed using methadone one time. Withdrawl from hydrocodone is almost as bad as heroin withdrawl. They are both treated the same in detox. Be careful. What you describe is a functioning addict who has to take the same thing every day no matter what the quantity you have made this into an addiction. Otherwise, you would be able to go days without. Be careful with this stuff, it is wicked!

I agree with Julbox, seek medical attention before you stop this medication. Even taking as prescribed, you may experience serious physical withdraw symptoms and may need medical interventions to assist in your stopping this medication. Please discuss with either the prescribing doctor or contact a local addictions specialist ( via a chemical dependency rehab center in your local area) or contact a detox center in your local hospital so you can obtain accurate medical direction on how to proceed.
