I use a cutoff of 100. Same odds. Are you at 72 or 84 hours since last drink? Wasn't it 3 am?

Dr. Bill,
I have to go in 1.5 hours and getting nervous. Could you tell me if your opinion was based on the lower threshold test of 100ng or 500ng?

Sorry, I didn't see your reply. Yes the last drink was about 3-4 am, but the interlock failed at 1pm on Sunday. And I am testing today at 5pm.

Ok. I just got home. And the PO called and said that she needs to see me tomorrow to discuss the interlock. I was tested right at 5pm and I am guessing that it would have been 72 hr since BAC was about 0. I had stopped drinking so much water today, because I didn't want a dilute. That kind of worries me, because my urine was very yellow but I had drank 2/ 32oz gatorade and had vitamins this morning. They told me that the test is a 500 cut off. I drank a lot of water all day Sun. Mon. and Tues. What do you think?

You should pass the EtG based on time elapsed even with 100 cutoff. At 500 your chances improve considerably. That has less to do with the test than it does with the inordinate delay in execution.
Do you have any idea of how much, and what, you drank during that session?

Oh. To answer your question. My friend and I shared a box of wine. I think it is a 5Ltr box. I would say like 2-2.5ltr of wine and a few Tequila shots. Started at about 8pm amd ended at 3-4 am on Sat.

That is a tremendous amount of alcohol. In fact, even across an 8 hour period your BAC would likely exceed .35 and probably higher. Elimination rates don't mean much at those levels. Using a standard formula (.017 ph) it is quite possible that you were still in double-digits 9 hours later.

I was at .11 at 1pm Sun when I failed the interlock. I have to go to court tomorrow to discuss with the judge. I have spoken with my attorney and he is going to be there with me tomorrow. I believe that we are going to admit to I,t and ask to be admitted to a treatment facility instead of jail. I don't understand the elimination rates. So if I was at .11 at 1pm, how long before I would have been at 0?
I have read that if you are refereed by the criminal justice system they can't require you to pay for the treatment, according to Tri County's website.

I think it would be a good idea to get treatment. You should also have a thorough physical and liver function test. The amount of alcohol you consumed is at dangerous levels.
Elimination is almost impossible to calculate at those levels. Using a standard for Female (.017 per hour) would require 6-1/2 hours from the .11 read to BAC=0.
