Increased urea and creatinine levels indicate a kidney failure. And do not confuse this with the failing of the kidney. A kidney failure means poor kidney function, it doesn't necessarily end up with a kidney fail. I made this explanation so you don't freak out.

Best thing to do is reduce the pressure on kidneys by drinking lots and lots of warm (not boiling) water, stay away from greasy foods, processed foods and definitely avoid high protein foods. In brief, he might find it relieving to go vegetarian for a while. He needs good amount of antioxidants in the fruits and veggies in order to reduce the side effects/damage of radiation. And as I always say, there are doctors for this reason; you should ask your dad's doc for the best advice.
